Child Protection Services

Provides child protection services for children and youth in BC. Social workers investigate reports of child abuse or neglect, provide or arrange support services for families, supervise a child's care in the home, and protect children through removal from the family and placement with relatives, a foster family or specialized residential resources. To report a concern about a child being abused or neglected, call the toll free number or Helpline for Children, both available 24-hour, 7 days a week.more info

Sexual Abuse Intervention Program

The Sexual Abuse Intervention Program (SAIP) is a community-based program which provides specialized assessment and treatment services to children and youth under age 19 who have been sexually abused, are at risk of being sexually abused, and/or are exhibiting problematic sexual behaviors (under 12 years). Support is also provided to the families of children who are accessing this service.more info
