Paediatric Services

Provides appropriate care to children and adolescents experiencing health concerns requiring further investigation and treatment. Services offered range from general medical and surgical services, physical examinations and well-child care, growth, development, preventive care and anticipatory guidance. Families are also provided with support and education about the health problems of their children to help reduce hospital admissions/readmissions and facilitate health development to adulthood. Range of paediatric services vary by location. In smaller facilities there are no allocated paediatric beds, children are assigned adult bed spaces.more info

Speech Language Services

Provides services to preschool children who may have speech and language delays, stuttering, hearing impairments, cleft palate, and language based learning disabilities. Services include screenings and monitoring, assessments, therapy and workshops for parents, child care providers and preschool teachers, early childhood education students and public health nurses. Referrals are accepted from physicians, day care and preschool staff, infant development consultants and audiologists.
