Community-Based Victim Services

The Victim Services Worker provides support to those individuals who are survivors of violent crimes.  The Outreach Worker offers emotional support and assistance to prepare safety plans and court documents.  The Worker will assist with the court orientation and the criminal process.

Pregnancy Outreach The Outreach Worker provides information and support for prenatal and postnatal health along with labour and delivery information. Through the Worker, parents-to-be and new parents will receive one on one support, along with breastfeeding consultation and nutrition and healthy lifestyles guidance.
Supervised Access Services – Family Skills Program Parents whose children are in the custody of the MCFD can visit in a safe and supportive environment to ensure that important contact is kept throughout the process.
Supported Childhood Development Program Provides resources, guidance and access to additional child care support funds for children with developmental delays who require the use of day care centers.
