The mission of the Public Guardian and Trustee is threefold:
-to safeguard and uphold the legal and financial interests of children and youth under the age of 19
-to manage the legal, financial and personal care interests of adults needing assistance in decision making
-to administer the estates of deceased and missing persons when there is no one willing or able to administer their estates
