Mental Health and Addictions Services
Services include:
- Crisis Response
- Short-term Counselling (individual, family, group)
- Long-term Case Management
- Life Skills Support to assist in daily living
- Medication Management
- Psycho-educational groups: CBT, Emotional Regulation, Self Esteem & Assertiveness, CBT groups for those with a chronic disease
- Education
- Psychiatric consultation
Specialized demographic programs include those for:
- Acquired Brain Injury patients
- Adults with developmental disabilities
- Early Psychosis patients
- People with eating disorders
- People over 65 experiencing mental health problems
- Youth with co-occurring mental health issues and addiction
The health unit also provides basic health services for intravenous drug users, including assessment of related injection sites and wound care; and provision of harm reduction supplies.
