Mental Health and Addictions Services

Services include:

  • Crisis Response
  • Short-term Counselling (individual, family, group)
  • Long-term Case Management
  • Life Skills Support to assist in daily living
  • Medication Management
  • Psycho-educational groups: CBT, Emotional Regulation, Self Esteem & Assertiveness, CBT groups for those with a chronic disease
  • Education
  • Psychiatric consultation

Specialized demographic programs include those for: 

  • Acquired Brain Injury patients
  • Adults with developmental disabilities
  • Early Psychosis patients
  • People with eating disorders
  • People over 65 experiencing mental health problems
  • Youth with co-occurring mental health issues and addiction

The health unit also provides basic health services for intravenous drug users, including assessment of related injection sites and wound care; and provision of harm reduction supplies.
