Early Recovery/Stabilization Addictions Program
The Gya’ Wa’ Tlaab Healing Centre is located in Kitamaat Village in northwest BC. We have 12 NNADAP-funded treatment beds and four NHA-funded stabilization beds.
The Early Recovery/Stabilization Program is a seven- or eight-week, all-male program including assessment, orientation, transition, stabilization, and early recovery. It incorporates a holistic healing model that addresses the whole person through:
- Acu-Detox/General Health Monitoring delivered by a Naturopathic Doctor
- Brief intervention
- Cognitive-behavioural techniques
- Culturally appropriate ceremonies
- Education Awareness
- Physical Wellness: can be combination of fitness training, strength training, yoga, meditation.
- Life Skills
- Motivational techniques
- Psycho-educational groups
- A&D Counselling
- Mental Health Counselling
