Outpatient Neuro Physiotherapy

We are currently expanding our Neuro Outpatient Services in conjunction with UBC’s growing Physiotherapy Program and the BC Brain Wellness Program (www.bcbrainwellness.ca).

We are piloting a program expansion and are in need of participants:

Population:

• Stroke
• Parkinson’s Disease
• Acquired Brain Injury
• MS
• Guillain Barre Syndrome
• Functional Neurological Syndrome

We are looking for acute clients, who are still in early stages of recovery/newly diagnosed.

Program Goals:

• To Improve client function at home/community, preventing hospital admission
• To establish home programs and community supports to continue recovery
• To support neuro rehab research
• To support the health profession through education and mentorship

Services Offered: (all services are completely free to client)

• One-to-one Physiotherapy Sessions, in-person and virtual
• Group Therapy Sessions, in-person and virtual
• Hydrotherapy, one-to-one and group sessions

Inclusion Criteria:

• Client must be interested in participating in physical activity
• Client must have no contraindications to physical activity
• Client should be able to tolerate 15mins of continuous activity or more
• Prince George Resident as well as those across the Northern Health region.
