  • Ongoing rent and utility subsidies
  • Overdue rent and utilities
  • Rent and utility deposits
  • Housing navigation – Locating housing and setting up viewings
  • Assistance with buying some basic furniture
  • Tenant insurance
  • Moving costs
  • Hotel stays when someone is homeless and has a tenancy agreement signed (and there is a gap between now and their move-in date)

To be eligible, individuals must be a former member of the Canadian Armed Forces (including Rangers and Reservists) or RCMP and be currently homeless (including staying with friends, in a shelter or a hotel) or at risk of becoming homeless (housing situation ending within 2 weeks). For the ongoing monthly subsidy, Veterans must also meet the low-income threshold. Please note: Applications are processed and evaluated on an individual basis. Not all Veterans are eligible for all program supports.
