Remote Rehab
Remote Rehab is an online physiotherapy service that uses simple video conferencing technologies (similar to skype and zoom) to provide physiotherapy across the province of British Columbia. Our goal is to increase access to care in rural and remote areas that don’t have convenient and immediate access to Physiotherapy or Primary Healthcare Services.
Our Remote Rehab Physiotherapists also provide care directly into understaffed hospitals, long term care homes, and healthcare centres. We complete in-person visits to underserved communities to provide pop-up clinical services; this allows for improved relationship building with regular follow-up through telehealth. We hope to build a more connected and equitable healthcare system in British Columbia.
Physician referral is not required to book an appointment with a Physiotherapist. Please check out our website for more information: https://www.remoterehabphysio.com/
Our Physiotherapists use Telehealth to treat the following conditions and more:
• Musculoskeletal and sport related injuries
• Vestibular dysfunction and vertigo
• Concussion rehabilitation
• Acute and chronic pain
• Pre- and post- surgical recovery (joint replacements, ligament repair etc.)
• Neurological conditions (Parkinsons and sub-acute stroke recovery, etc.)
• Cardiorespiratory conditions (COPD, Cystic Fribrosis, Pneumonia, Post-Anesthetic Recovery)
• Falls Prevention, balance training, and mobility training
• Health and wellness promotion including exercise planning, behaviour change, and identification of potential benefit from other healthcare providers such as dietician services.
