Mental Health Family Resource Centre
British Columbia Schizophrenia Society is a non-profit organization founded in 1982 by families and friends of people with schizophrenia. Since then, BCSS has grown into a province-wide family support system. We are dedicated to supporting each other, educating the public, raising funds for research and advocating for better services for people with schizophrenia and other serious and persistent mental illness.
Services Provided are free:
• support and information for individuals (family & friends) who support someone who may have or has been diagnosed with a mental illness
• resources, books and videos to borrow on a variety of mental illnesses
• public education for family members & friends through the Strengthening Families Together Program
•support groups for family & friends who are providing caring support for their loved ones living with mental illness symptoms
• Education prensentation for community groups through our Partnership Education Program or talks on specific subjects related to mental illness

Regular hours: 9:30 am to 3:30pm Tuesday to Friday, subject to change. Statutory Holidays affect hours
Walk-in hours: 9:30am to 3:30pm Tuesday to Friday appointment is often suggested as I often work out in the community during regular hours and work from home. Outside of these regular hours are available upon request and appointment
