Adult Literacy/ESL Program
. English as a Second Language (E.S.L.)Small group E.S.L. classes including field trips and guest speakers support learners in acquiring the knowledge and language skills that will assist them with their integration into the Canadian society and the local community. Classes are free and run from September through June.
Settlement SupportSettlement support includes referrals to local, provincial and federal services and other resources available in the community and region that address the basic settlement needs of newcomers to Canada and ourcommunity.
Skills for LifeSkills for Life learning opportunities support residents in increasing their literacy skills (functional, financial,food, literacies) while meeting primary needs.
Little Free Book CartsLittle Free Book Carts are located outside the Community Corner at 103-370 City Centre (between the Bank of Montreal and Royal Bank) and at the Kitimat WorkBC Centre at 562 Mountainview Square.
Integrated Employment and Literacy ServicesIntegrated services at the Kitimat WorkBC Centre to support job seekers with technology, online applications, and digital documents.
