24hYouth Against Violence Line

Are you in danger? Is someone you know being threatened? Want to make a difference?

Stand Up. Be Heard. Get help.

If you're in any way concerned about your safety or the safety of others, we can help. Anything you say is kept completely confidential and you remain totally anonymous - we don't have call display either. And, because the YAV Line is a multilingual service, we can talk to you in your language.

We offer non judgmental support in many languages, and will provide you with options, information, and referrals to services that can help. Parents, teachers, caregivers, service providers and others can also call for information about youth-related resources.

The Youth Against Violence Line was established in the early 1990's as part of the Taking A Stand campaign, an initiative of the B.C. Government. The campaign was designed to encourage young people to take an active role in preventing violence amongst their peers.
