Strengthening Families Together

Strengthening Families Together (SFT) is a 6 session program that equips families and caregivers with knowledge, skills, and connections to better support loved ones with mental illness.


  •  reliable information on major mental illnesses and treatments
  •  information about local support services
  •  information about the mental health and criminal justice systems
  •  information about income and housing supports
  •  support and tools for maximizing self-care
  •  empathy building exercises
  •  communication tools
  •  an opportunity for families to share experiences, challenges, and strengths with one another in a safe,   supportive environment
Families / caregivers can choose to attend either in-person or virtually in our hybrid format.
In-person participants will be offered a light meal and refreshments during each session.

Referral criteriaOur classes are provided to any adult family members, friends and caregivers of a loved one with a mental illness. A diagnosis is not required to access our services. Registration is required for our support groups and education programs.
