Strengthening Families Together

Strengthening Families Together (SFT) is a six-session program that equips families and caregivers with knowledge, skills, and connections to better support loved ones with mental illness.

• information about local support services
• information about the mental health and criminal justice systems
• information about income and housing supports
• support and tools for maximizing self-care
• empathy building exercises
• communication tools
• an opportunity for families to share experiences, challenges, and strengths with one another in a safe, supportive environment
Classes are held in Terrace, BC and are offered both virtually or in-person.
Our next sessions are starting April 7th and will run until May 12th 2026.
A light meal and refreshments will be provided to in-person participants each session.

Referral criteriaFamilies / caregivers who have loved ones with mental illness can self-refer or be referred by a health provider. The individual with diagnosis can be under 19 and the family can still receive these services. Registration is required for our support groups and education programs. Appointments can be arranged for peer support / to access resources.
